Day 1

  • From there, we will complete a walkable distance to explore Kamru Fort, famous for its wooden construction stealing the attention from the top of the mountain and is devoted to Kamaksha Devi.
  • Sangla village is mainly populated and rests on the right bank of the Baspa River.
  • Its soil is extremely fertile and prominent for irrigation. This village is present at an elevation of 2621 m which is above the level of the sea, and falls at an exact distance of 17 km from Karcham.
  • The village is situated over a slope where the houses are located one after the other and are closed by the major Raldang Peaks towering the beauty standards from behind.
  • From there, we will explore the Sangla Meadow and Bering Nag Temple, which is a famous religious spot for Hindus.
  • The following temple is dedicated to Lord Jagas.
  • Then we will explore the Tibetan Wood Carving Centre, Buddhist Monastery, and Chitkul.

  • Reckong Peo is stated to be the district headquarters of Kinnaur.
  • Reckong Peo is known to be the commercial spot of Kinnaur with great administrative authorities.
  • Satiate your taste buds at a local restaurant where you can order Indian and Tibetan cuisines.
  • After completing our lunch, we will head towards Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village.
  • These wonderful villages are surrounded by dense pine forests and are popularly known for apricots and apples.

Transfer From Kalpa to Narkanda (161 Km,7-8 hrs)

  • By evening we will be reaching Narkanda.
